  My name is Leslie McKenzie, I am the owner and cupcake chef of The Sophisticated Cupcake. Like so many other little girls, my love of baking began with an EasyBake oven and blossomed into a passion for everything sweet. After years of requests from friends and family to bake desserts for every occasion imaginable, I decided it was time to make my cupcakes available to everyone, so in early 2008, The Sophisticated Cupcake was born.  We are a baked-to-order cupcake catering company, all cupcakes are baked in small batches just for you. So, if you live in Greensboro, NC or the surrounding areas you can enjoy our cupcakes anytime the craving hits! All of our cupcakes are made from scratch with the highest quality ingredients. We use only Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, real butter, organic milk, unbleached flour and all natural eggs. We never use any boxed mixes, shortening or margarine in our products! These are not your average cupcakes, give us a try and taste the difference for yourself. We will deliver anywhere in Greensboro, High Point and Kernersville for free. If you live outside of these cities, no problem, just pay a small delivery fee and you can still enjoy these exquisite treats! Our Cupcakes are best when eaten on the day of delivery but can be kept up to three days in an airtight container. We are looking to expand and open a retail storefront in the future, so stay tuned!  Weddings Interested in having cupcakes at your wedding? Give us a call or send us an email to schedule a consultation. Consultations will not be scheduled more than 6 months before your wedding. The fee for the consultation is $15.00, this includes 2 flavors of your choice. If you wish to try additional flavors, they are available at the regular price per dozen. Wedding cupcakes start at $1.50 each and go up to $4.00 each depending on the design. If you choose to have a cupcake tower, we can make a 4-6 inch cake for the top tier, this can be used for the cutting or saved for your first anniversary. We have several options for tower rentals, depending on the tower you choose, the rental fee is $25.00-$100.00. Please let us know what other questions you may have.
